Ventrica has pledged to pay its employees the living wage, giving them “more financial security and confidence to plan for their futures”.

The customer experience company based in Essex, UK, made the commitment as part of its aim to attract and retain top talent within the business.

By becoming a fully accredited living wage employer the organisation has agreed to pay staff a minimum hourly rate of £10.90, rising to £11.95 in London. These rates are much higher than the £10.42 minimum for over 23s set by the government.

Iain Banks, chief executive at Ventrica, said: “Retaining top talent and building our employee value proposition is at the heart of our growth strategy at Ventrica, and committing to the real living wage is something I am tremendously proud of. Especially during this time of uncertainty and financial hardship, we were absolutely determined to support our people by offering them more financial security and confidence to plan for their futures.

“This is only one of a suite of employee benefits that Ventrica offer our staff to ensure that top all our employees enjoy and feel valued by our company.”

Employees at the call centre also benefit from 28 days of holiday including bank holidays, extra annual leave after one year of service, an additional day after two years of service, and internal promotion opportunities.

Staff have access to flexible training programmes, mental health first aiders and employee assistance programme. They also receive presents for new parents, and have regular team events and monthly awards.

The company is committed to supporting diversity and inclusion, is a disability confident employer and has signed the menopause pledge.
