Indeed Flex, the sister site of Indeed, has launched Same Day Pay to allow temporary staff access to some of their wages as soon as they finish work.
The new scheme from the online platform for temporary workers means they can choose to have up to 50% off their earnings in their bank accounts within hours of completing a shift.
Following a trial of the company’s Next Day Pay pilot initiative, which enabled individuals to access pay for work carried out the previous day, the company decided to increase the flexibility of its offering.
The benefit is being provided through a partnership with the FlexEarn app, a tool which helps organisations make wages immediately accessible to their workforces. Staff can log on via the app to select how much of their earnings they wish to receive.
Novo Constare, CEO and co-founder of Indeed Flex, said: “People using Indeed Flex work where they want, when they want – and now they can get paid when they want too.
“Flexibility sits at the core of Indeed Flex, and that’s why we’re giving workers the opportunity to access their earnings as and when they need to.
“Having the option to receive an advance on your earnings makes it easier to budget and gives you the reassurance that you can meet the unexpected costs that life sometimes throws up – such as car repairs or replacing broken household items – more easily.”
Indeed Flex’s new provision follows research it carried out among 2,000 UK workers that revealed 38% of those who were paid monthly wanted the option of getting paid more regularly.
Jonathan David, CEO at FlexEarn, added: “We’re thrilled to have partnered with Indeed Flex on this brand-new feature. Both companies share a common vision of revolutionising the future of work through innovative solutions, and Same Day Pay is a prime example of how we are empowering workers with greater financial flexibility and control over their earnings.”
