Joe Wicks has entered the employee benefits market with the launch of The Body Coach for Work.
The digital-first fitness app, which was first introduced to consumers in 2020, is now available for employers that want to further support the health and wellbeing of their workforces.
Explaining the offering on his website, Wicks explained it was for HR and employee benefits teams to “turbocharge their company’s health and fitness”.
He stated: “Exercise gives you energy, lifts your mood, boosts your productivity and makes you feel good. When I’m feeling tired or stressed, a quick workout always makes me feel more energised, motivated and focussed.
“I want to inspire the nation’s workforce to use exercise to boost employees’ physical and mental health and to be fitter, healthier and happier.”
Through the platform, employees will be able to access workouts which can be done from home, in the office or even while out on a job. They will also have a variety of recipes and personalised meal plans to choose from every month, which aim to help them “eat good food, maintain healthy habits, better sustain their energy levels and beat those afternoon slumps”.
According to Wicks, who became a household name in 2020 with his “PE with Joe” sessions throughout the pandemic, his “mission has always been to help get people everywhere feeling fitter, healthier and happier”.
In a message to employers, the Body Coach team explained that early access capacity is limited and it has been overwhelmed by the response from different organisations.
