Raffolux is giving its workers a day off to celebrate the achievements of England’s Lionesses in the FIFA Women’s World Cup – if they make the final.
The UK digital raffle platform, which also has employees in India, Portugal, Malta and the US, is offering all staff an extra day of leave on Monday 21 August following the football finale the previous day.
According to the operator, the day off is a token of its appreciation for their employees’ hard work. It hopes the move will give its workforce the chance to join in the celebrations or simply enjoy a day of rest and relaxation.
Founder Gerry Lianos said: “Ever since I was young, giving back to good causes has always been so important to me. Whether it was through volunteering or fundraising, my desire to help others has remained constant. Now, I am keen to express my gratitude to my exceptional team, whose incredible work has played a pivotal role in Raffolux’s achievements in 2023.”
Employees at the company are additionally entitled to: fully paid sick leave, including for mental days off; an employee share option programme to allow them to share in the success of the company; hybrid working; regular team socials; and team getaways and retreats.
Launched in 2019, charitable company Raffolux has raised £600,000 for worthy causes to date. It has secured long-term partnerships with many UK charities and household brands, including Virgin Experiences, John Lewis and Dyson. It aims to raise more than £1 million a year for good causes by 2025.
