EXCLUSIVE: Crafted introduces financial coaching for hybrid team

Crafted has implemented financial coaching for its hybrid workforce to support employees’ individual needs and “go the extra mile”.

The Suffolk, UK-based independent digital agency, which employs 80 people, is now offering all staff access to the full Bippit platform.

Professional and fully qualified coaches, targeted learning resources and personalised money management plans – including tracking goals, analysing spending, and participating in challenges – are all available through the service.

The platform also enables staff to take part in interactive workshops on topics such as pensions, protection and budgeting.

Ian Miller, CEO at Crafted, said: “We want to go the extra mile on the fundamental benefits. It’s great to get the latest Apple Watch through our private health scheme, but it’s better knowing there’s a whole range of support and benefits to suit our Crafties own personal circumstances.

“Employees across the UK are looking for more financial support and as an employer we recognise that we’ve got a duty of care to the people who work here. With the macro-economic environment, Crafted is going beyond financial benefits and delivering an empowering wellbeing solution that can benefit everyone financially.”

Formed in 2008, Crafted has a diverse range of clients, including household names including The British Library, Médecins Sans Frontières and The Natural History Museum.

According to the business, its higher-than-average staff tenure of six years is due to its focus on employee wellbeing.

The company supports workers with their physical health by offering Vitality private medical insurance, while its partnership with Suffolk Mind delivers a range of mental wellbeing support.

In the financial space, the company provides a number of benefits such as season ticket loans and a technology scheme, as well as the Bippit financial wellbeing provision.

The agency also has a Crafted Council, made up of staff members of different levels, where employees get together to share ideas and new initiatives.

It was important to the business to ensure its benefits offering was accessible universally, across a diverse employee base. In addition, it focuses on impact and uptake, regularly running engagement reports for all wellbeing benefits to get a clear picture of what’s working and what’s not.

Sam Lathey, CEO of Bippit, added: “Crafted has a history of not only innovative agency work across digital marketing, but also of putting their employees first. Their employee council is a strong and effective way of ensuring their wellbeing initiatives deliver impact.

“We’re delighted to partner with them to empower their hybrid team of professionals with effective financial coaching from experts with FCA-recognised qualifications, so that they can take control of their long-term financial health.”

byBenefits Expert from Definite Article Media

As the professionals responsible for helping their organisations navigate NI hikes, rising employee stress levels and looming redundancies, the pressure on HR, reward and benefits teams has never been greater.

HR is expected to lead with strength and compassion. But who is supporting the supporters?

In this episode of Benefits Unboxed, co-hosts Claire Churchard, Carole Goldsmith and Steve Herbert explore the emotional and ethical pressures HR face today, from managing redundancies to implementing complex legislation. They discuss why HR’s own wellbeing may not be the first topic of conversation, the risks that poses to employers, and the practical steps businesses can take to better support the wellbeing of the people who support everyone else.

This conversation shines a light on the resilience of the profession and why looking after HR is not just the right thing to do, but a business imperative.
