Towergate Employee Benefits has appointed Mark Pugh to the new role of head of consulting services, which the provider said was key to supporting its ambitious plans for growth for its employee benefits services.
The news comes after the provider rebranded as Towergate Employee Benefits following the recent acquisition of Benefiz.
The recent acquisition of Benefiz has added pensions and benefits technology services to the provider’s suite of health, protection and wellbeing benefits for employees in the UK and overseas.
New identity
Commenting on the rebrand, the provider said that as a whole-of-market adviser, with more than 15,000 clients, Towergate Employee Benefits is one of the UK’s largest employee benefits advisers, and the new identity is a natural evolution, reflecting its newly expanded capabilities.
Pugh will support the development and expansion of the provider’s employee benefits services that the Benefiz acquisition brings, helping to ensure the successful delivery of complex services to larger clients.
He was previously head of employee benefits at Verlingue UK and joins the leadership team at the provider. He will report to Tim Gillingham, director of employee benefits.
Iain Laws, CEO of Towergate Employee Benefits, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mark to our team. He joins us at an exciting time for the company as we evolve with newly expanded capabilities into the pensions and benefits technology market, to become a comprehensive employee benefits adviser.”
Pugh said: “This is a fantastic time to join Towergate Employee Benefits to support its further growth and evolution. I’m looking forward to helping enhance an already impressive business, as we provide additional services and support to clients.”
