Following the positive response to our first ever Benefits Unboxed Live! Webinar, Benefits Expert is pleased to unveil the date and topics for our second live webinar.

The second Benefits Unboxed Live! Webinar will examine the fast moving forces reshaping the workplace, including the latest global economic turbulence, evolving employee expectations and divisive employment law shifts.

Titled ‘HR in an Uncertain World: What Employers Need to Know Now’, this live event will take place on Thursday 3 July, 2025, from 10am-12pm on Zoom.

Starting with a wide-angle view of the pressures HR and employers are facing, senior consultant Steve Herbert will examine the latest political shifts affecting work, including Trump’s latest edict on tariffs and Farage’s intervention on flexible working. He’ll look at how these issues link to rising absence rates, work conflict and the growing wellbeing burden on HR.

The UK Supreme Court’s recent ruling on the definition of a woman in the Equality Act has certainly shaken up employment policy. In the session on ‘Redefining “Woman” in Employment Law’, we will dive into the legal and policy implications of this legal judgment and find out whether HR will really need to “de-trans” their employment handbooks.

Big changes are coming for the pensions world and employers can expect a lot more questions from employees once dashboards roll out. To get ahead of this, a senior pensions expert will explore ‘The Pensions Long Game’ looking at pension gaps, market shocks and how incoming dashboards are reshaping long-term saving.

And don’t miss our live panel debate ‘Who Pays for Financial Wellbeing?’ with financial wellbeing experts exploring how to fund sustainable solutions. From sidecar savings and payroll tools to pension nudges, we’ll find out what is working and what employers need to consider.

With sweeping change across politics, policy and the economy, this high-impact webinar will offer clarity, expert insight and the strategic foresight HR needs now.

Episode 6 – Wellbeing: HR is supporting everyone, but who’s supporting HR?
byBenefits Expert from Definite Article Media

As the professionals responsible for helping their organisations navigate NI hikes, rising employee stress levels and looming redundancies, the pressure on HR, reward and benefits teams has never been greater.

HR is expected to lead with strength and compassion. But who is supporting the supporters?

In this episode of Benefits Unboxed, co-hosts Claire Churchard, Carole Goldsmith and Steve Herbert explore the emotional and ethical pressures HR face today, from managing redundancies to implementing complex legislation. They discuss why HR’s own wellbeing may not be the first topic of conversation, the risks that poses to employers, and the practical steps businesses can take to better support the wellbeing of the people who support everyone else.

This conversation shines a light on the resilience of the profession and why looking after HR is not just the right thing to do, but a business imperative.
