Health and wellbeing provider BHSF has made two senior appointments to its executive leadership team as it pushes ahead with a wide-ranging transformation programme.

The organisation has appointed Georgina Callaghan as chief operating officer and Clare Enstone as director of risk and compliance (both pictured above).

Callaghan, who took up her post this month, steps into a role previously held by current CEO Stuart Hayhurst. She brings more than 20 years of experience in business transformation, digital innovation and operational leadership, with senior positions at Key Group, Co-op, PwC and Barclays.

Enstone will lead BHSF’s risk and compliance strategy, drawing on her background in governance, regulatory frameworks and enterprise risk management. She has been tasked with ensuring the organisation maintains high standards across its operations.

The appointments come as BHSF undertakes what it describes as an “end-to-end transformation journey”. This includes modernising its core insurance system and product portfolio, with a sharper focus on data-driven, digital and user-friendly services. A key part of this shift has been the launch of its new Health & Wellbeing Plan, which has been commended by employers and intermediaries for its simplicity, flexibility and relevance to today’s workforce.

BHSF said the plan is designed to enhance the employee experience and support organisations in building healthier and more resilient teams.

Stuart Hayhurst, group chief executive officer at BHSF, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Clare and Georgina to the executive team. Their expertise will be instrumental as we continue to scale our services and deliver on our mission to support the health and wellbeing of the UK workforce. These appointments reflect our continued investment in leadership to support our partners, our customers and our employees.”

Enstone said: “Joining BHSF is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to an organisation that’s clearly committed to doing things the right way. I’m passionate about building strong, transparent governance frameworks that support innovation while protecting customers and partners. I look forward to working with the team to strengthen our compliance culture and help shape the next chapter of BHSF’s journey.”

Callaghan commented: “BHSF has a clear sense of purpose and a strong foundation for growth. I’m excited to be part of a team that’s driving meaningful change in the health and wellbeing space. My focus will be on ensuring our operations continue to scale efficiently, with the customer experience at the heart of everything we do.”
