Bupa UK Insurance and Nuffield Health have signed a three-year contract to maintain access to care across Nuffield Health’s hospitals and specialist services.

The agreement introduces direct diary booking, allowing Bupa customers to schedule initial appointments through the Bupa Finder website. It also expands Bupa’s Musculoskeletal (MSK) pathway into Nuffield Health hospitals, providing initial triage within one working day and diagnostics within three working days.

Nuffield Health has committed £200m to upgrade diagnostic imaging technology, including AI-enabled systems, which will be accessible to Bupa customers under the partnership.

Nuffield Health chief commercial officer Chris Gowland says: “Extending our partnership with Bupa is a real vote of confidence in what we can deliver together for patients. At Nuffield Health, we’re committed to providing innovative, high-quality care and giving people fast access to the treatment they need. With new tools like direct diary booking and state-of-the-art diagnostics, we’re making it easier than ever for people to get excellent care across our network. This agreement with Bupa reflects our shared ambition to keep raising the bar for healthcare across the UK.”

Bupa UK Insurance medical and healthcare director Richard Washington says: “Bupa customers trust us to provide quick, straightforward access to high quality care. This long-standing partnership with Nuffield health helps us deliver on that promise – offering improved access, supported by digital innovations and next generation diagnostics. It’s another step forward in our shared ambition to improve the nation’s health.”
