Mando has introduced a new financial wellbeing platform for its workforce.

The digital agency, which is based in Liverpool, UK, and has 50 staff members, launched the service this month (May) to help improve employees’ long-term financial health.

Provided by Bippit, the platform provides users with access to unlimited one-to-one financial coaching from professional coaches with Financial Conduct Authority-recognised qualifications and an all-in-one financial wellbeing suite, with tools to help employees analyse and improve their mindset and knowledge, as well as improve their financial choices. They are also able to benefit from a learning library and monthly webinar series hosted by Bippit’s coaches.

Deanne Walsh, HR and wellbeing lead at Mando, explained that the service was launched following a team survey, which highlighted a demand for financial coaching among the workforce.

She said: “We’re pleased to be able to provide our employees with an empowering tool to improve their long-term financial wellbeing, complementing our existing solutions for the other pillars of wellbeing.

“As well as making sure we choose the right wellbeing solutions for our team, we believe that long-term communication, engagement and adoption are essential to success. Bippit provided a range of comprehensive pre-engagement materials so we could prioritise adoption from the beginning.”

Samuel Lathey, CEO of Bippit, added: “It’s no surprise that Mando’s team highlighted financial coaching as something they wanted the organisation to provide.

“Employees are increasingly aware that personalised financial wellbeing is the key to long-term empowerment and success and are requesting it from their employers. We’re extremely pleased to be working with Mando as their financial coaching provider of choice.”

As an employer, Mando is committed to supporting staff wellbeing under the leadership of CEO Ian Finch. The business has trained mental health first aiders and regularly surveys staff to identify the needs of the workforce. As a result, it is also planning to offer regular mindfulness sessions carried out a dedicated mindfulness instructor.

byBenefits Expert from Definite Article Media

As the professionals responsible for helping their organisations navigate NI hikes, rising employee stress levels and looming redundancies, the pressure on HR, reward and benefits teams has never been greater.

HR is expected to lead with strength and compassion. But who is supporting the supporters?

In this episode of Benefits Unboxed, co-hosts Claire Churchard, Carole Goldsmith and Steve Herbert explore the emotional and ethical pressures HR face today, from managing redundancies to implementing complex legislation. They discuss why HR’s own wellbeing may not be the first topic of conversation, the risks that poses to employers, and the practical steps businesses can take to better support the wellbeing of the people who support everyone else.

This conversation shines a light on the resilience of the profession and why looking after HR is not just the right thing to do, but a business imperative.
