Moto Hospitality is giving its 5,500-strong workforce access to a 10% discount on childcare fees as part of its “suite of family friendly benefits”.

The motorway services company is offering the saving to employees through a partnership with early years education provider Busy Bees.

Emma James, head of colleague experience and communications at Moto Hospitality, said: “Our company’s purpose is to brighten people’s journeys through life – and that means caring for our own staff as well as the millions of customers we welcome to our 52 sites every year.

“This practical childcare solution is part of a suite of family friendly benefits we have established to support working parents.”

Staff will be able to claim the discount at any of the nursery group’s 350 UK sites. James highlighted that the company’s working parents are also able to access advice and best-practice tips on the childcare provider’s website.

The suite of family friendly benefits offered by the business includes enhanced maternity and paternity pay, fertility leave, flexible working and miscarriage support.

James explained: “Hospitality is such a competitive industry and the whole sector has struggled with recruitment since the Covid pandemic. We understand how important it is to offer good benefits and conditions to attract and retain the best people.”

Antony Morrison, business sales director at Busy Bees at Work, added: “At a time when companies need to recruit and retain the best talent, we understand that it is so important for families to feel supported and have viable childcare options available to them.

“There is huge value in adding a childcare solution to your list of employee benefits and it’s great that Moto Hospitality is now able to offer further support to its working parents.”

HR is expected to lead with strength and compassion. But who is supporting the supporters?

In this episode of Benefits Unboxed, co-hosts Claire Churchard, Carole Goldsmith and Steve Herbert explore the emotional and ethical pressures HR face today, from managing redundancies to implementing complex legislation.
