Recruitment firm Reed has enhanced its employee benefits and green credentials with a new electric vehicle (EV) salary sacrifice scheme, which it has promoted with its annual ‘golden ticket’ programme.

The EV scheme, offered in partnership with provider Tusker, launched in April and gives Reed’s 4,000-plus UK employees access to EVs in a more tax-efficient way.

Reed employees, known internally as co-members, are being offered in-stock vehicle options and lifestyle protections.

Natasha Litchfield, reward advisor at Reed, said: “We are confident the scheme will be one of our most popular benefits with our co-members.”

The EV benefit is now part of Reed’s high-profile ‘golden ticket’ programme, which rewards top-performing recruitment consultants. Those who exceed their targets are entered into a prize draw to win a luxury EV. The winner is revealed when the new car is driven to their location for a surprise reveal.

Litchfield said: “It’s an event the entire company eagerly anticipates. On the morning of the reveal, excitement buzzes through every Reed office as teams hope the car will arrive at their doorstep – either for themselves or a lucky teammate. It has the feel of a live TV moment, like something straight out of an Ant and Dec show. Everyone’s got their fingers crossed, waiting to see where the spotlight will land.”

Ali Argall, business development and customer retention director at Tusker, said: “Reed was clear about its objectives, quick to engage and totally committed to making this work for its people.

“Reed’s creativity in launching this scheme and making it their own has been exceptional,” added Ali. “They’ve shown how a salary sacrifice car scheme can move from being just a benefit to being part of a culture that recognises performance and supports sustainability.”

byBenefits Expert from Definite Article Media

As the professionals responsible for helping their organisations navigate NI hikes, rising employee stress levels and looming redundancies, the pressure on HR, reward and benefits teams has never been greater.

HR is expected to lead with strength and compassion. But who is supporting the supporters?

In this episode of Benefits Unboxed, co-hosts Claire Churchard, Carole Goldsmith and Steve Herbert explore the emotional and ethical pressures HR face today, from managing redundancies to implementing complex legislation. They discuss why HR’s own wellbeing may not be the first topic of conversation, the risks that poses to employers, and the practical steps businesses can take to better support the wellbeing of the people who support everyone else.

This conversation shines a light on the resilience of the profession and why looking after HR is not just the right thing to do, but a business imperative.
