Simplyhealth adds male hormone and digestive checks to services

Benefits provider Simplyhealth has added new health services, such as male hormone testing, digestive-bowel health and fertility checks, as part of an extended partnership with Randox Health.

Under the deal, the provider is offering 26 new in-clinic health appointments as it expands its range. The partners said they aim to offer greater flexibility and access to more advanced health testing.

Simplyhealth has also introduced a premium sample collection method on three of the at-home test kits in addition to the existing 10 at-home test kits it offers.

The at-home test kits use a Tasso+ device to collect blood samples rather than the finger-prick method. The provider explained that users attach the collection device to their arm and, when tapped, it draws blood quickly and painlessly. “It can be a far more efficient and less painful way of collecting a sample from home,” Simplyhealth said.

Tests available through Simplyhealth are discounted, and some of them can also be claimed back, depending on benefits cover.

The provider said that its wider range of health check services means more individuals can benefit from tailored health insights.

David Ferguson, chief operations officer for Randox Health, said: “Expanding our partnership with Simplyhealth to include a wider range of comprehensive health checks strengthens our shared goal of empowering individuals to prioritise their health.”

Tina Kennedy, head of product for Simplyhealth, added: “Our goal is to simplify the healthcare journey. We are continuously looking to innovate, and evolve our services to provide quality and good value solutions for our customers.

“We are excited to be able to offer this expansion of Randox Health services to our customers as it will provide them with the tools to better understand their own health, which in turn could help prevent future illness.”

byBenefits Expert from Definite Article Media

As the professionals responsible for helping their organisations navigate NI hikes, rising employee stress levels and looming redundancies, the pressure on HR, reward and benefits teams has never been greater.

HR is expected to lead with strength and compassion. But who is supporting the supporters?

In this episode of Benefits Unboxed, co-hosts Claire Churchard, Carole Goldsmith and Steve Herbert explore the emotional and ethical pressures HR face today, from managing redundancies to implementing complex legislation. They discuss why HR’s own wellbeing may not be the first topic of conversation, the risks that poses to employers, and the practical steps businesses can take to better support the wellbeing of the people who support everyone else.

This conversation shines a light on the resilience of the profession and why looking after HR is not just the right thing to do, but a business imperative.
