Towergate Health & Protection has hired Beth Alahakoon to take on the role of head of operational excellence at the provider.

With more than 15 years in the employee benefits industry, Alahakoon will lead operational excellence across health and protection. She will work closely with Manjula Gowda, head of change, and stakeholders across the business, to drive, integrate and embed business change.

Alahakoon joins from Mercer Marsh Benefits where she was operations manager.

Claire Parrott, director of client services and operations at Towergate Health & Protection, said: “As part of our mission to deliver an effortless client experience, we’re passionate about embracing opportunities that drive our business forwards while enhancing our colleague and client experience. To this end, we welcome Beth and the experience and enthusiasm she will undoubtedly bring to the role.”

Alahakoon commented: “I am joining the team at Towergate Health & Protection during exciting times. The company has seen recent growth with investment in new roles like my own, along with Kate Kilpatrick being appointed as head of marketing, and Andy Samuel as chief technology officer. For my part, I will be looking to identify key areas where operational excellence can contribute to strategic goals by improving the client experience, the colleague journey, and our technological capabilities.”
