WPA has launched a new Fast Track Skin Support Pathway, giving customers rapid access to consultant dermatologists through a partnership with MySkinDoctor.

The web-based service enables members to receive a diagnosis and personalised treatment plan within three working days, without the need for a GP referral. Using the MySkinDoctor app, customers can upload photos of skin concerns such as acne, eczema, rosacea or mole changes, and receive a consultant-led care plan. Where clinically appropriate, a private prescription can also be issued at the customer’s own cost.

The service is available 24/7 for both adults and children, the pathway sits outside policy excesses, annual benefit limits and no-claims discounts. Customers can also arrange in-person consultations via WPA’s standard pre-authorisation process.

The new service joins WPA’s existing digital pathways covering mental health, cancer and musculoskeletal conditions, forming part of its wider strategy to make specialist support faster and more accessible.

According to WPA, the initiative delivers “rapid reassurance” and “unlimited use” for members and their families, including children under 16.

WPA chief customer officer Sharon Shier says: “Our pathway strategy is about easing worries, giving customers fast, convenient access to expert care when they need it most. Skin Support adds another dimension to our digital healthcare offering, helping individuals and families feel confident that professional advice is always available.”

Return-to-office mandates are a topic that’s generating plenty of heat in the media, but how closely do the headlines match workplace reality?

In this episode, one of a three-part series of 10-minute podcasts, hosts Claire Churchard and Steve Herbert discuss data that shows remote or home working is on the rise.
